Thanks! It does need a lot of bodywork! The paint is terrible. I may just paint it back to red. I need it totally redone, and some things back to black, like the grill, and window trim. Also my sideskirts are all wavey, and someone keyed my car several years back on the drivers side.
It also needs a lot of small stuff, door locks don't work, power steering leaks, need to replace diff oil, new headlights, new rug, sunroof is headliner is falling apart. Some day I'll get all of this stuff done. |

I have an update to my MR2, actually! I've dropped the stock 16v, and the 20v Blacktop is going in tomorrow. I'm pleasantly surprised at how easy it is to get it all in there. Swap the motor mount off the stock 16v on to the Blacktop, re-use the 16v tranny with the new BT Tranny internals, and you're good to go for the mechanical side. The wiring will be a bit difficult, but the guys at the shop have it covered. I'll have pictures up of the finished product some time next week.
Whenever I get a bit more money, it'll be off to the paint booth for her too. And then wheels and tires. Maybe some new bushings, too.

my beat up car!
1994 Subaru SVX LSI
Pictures these are all from the day i got the car towed to my house about 2 years ago, ill get new ones when its up and running in a week or so. ![]() ![]() ![]() Modifications at the moment, just a crappy warm air intake that i have to re-fab. plans include wrx ra gearswapped trans, straight through stock sizing exhaust, with straight through mufflers(in a month or so), AEM FIC, Individual throttle bodies, and cams to maximise the itbs and exhaust setup, a massive weight reduction as far as i can, on this very heavy car, fuel system and ignition system upgrade, plans to autocross the car once i know its running and driving right again. Build history so i own 2 cars, a 1998 mazda with a clutch that started slipping randomly(probably oil on the clutch from the rear main seal) a few days ago, just after i finished putting a stock trans in my subaru svx that was sitting for over 2 years now. so now, as soon as i can get tires, the mazda gets parked till the spring when i can do a clutch without the cold winters here in wisconsin! so on to the subaru. 1994 subaru svx lsi. 3.3l H6, AWD. the car belonged to my brother, till he blew the trans out driving it, and i gave him my old jetta and 300 dollars for it. i immediately bought a jdm wrx front clip for the manual trans so i could do a auto to manual swap (the svx was only ever offered in auto) but just after it got to the states, i lost my job, couldnt pay the customs fee, and the US gov. auctioned it off. i spent nearly 2000 on the clip, and was so heartbroken i couldnt stand to look at the car for nearly 2 years, where it sat on jackstands half ripped apart. i finally get a decent job, and buy a stock auto trans, just so i can get it running, and sell my mazda, and use that money for a 5spd conversion. well, i get the trans in, and finish everything up, and perfect timing, my clutch decides to work on its own accord. im waiting for new tires to get the car running, and park the mazda. the subaru isnt in the gratest shape cosmetically, but theres no rust, just bad pain work. i also recently found out that it was totaled within 5000 miles of its purchase back in 1994, but it looks flawless body wise! dont mind my lack of punctuation, and bad grammar! I can't wait for the 086A to come out. I've been driving my girlfriend's Impreza and I love it...just not a fan of the styling. Until I settle down and have a family; I prefer a two door. Now on to my ride, a Turbo RSX:

Nice Gen Coupe! Needs more lower, but looks dope. If Toyota or Nissan don't get their shit together a used 3.8 might be in my future.

![]() Yeah it's just on springs right now, but later it will be lower on some nice coilovers. I think toyota's got something good going with the FT-86, but nissan's doesn't look that nice with the new silvia. Well the 3.8 is a great car, I've test driven one but I wouldn't give up my 2.0T. With a reflash it's pretty much as fast as the 3.8 and still cheaper. |
