US-based Auto Shows

So, when do you think the FT-86 Concept will make its first appearance in the States at an Auto Show?

New York International Auto Show early next month? Or do you think we'll have to wait until Detroit next year?

Edit: Forget New York, just found the Concept Car page and no sign of the FT-86 http://www.autoshowny.com/galleries/concept#

I would have been more surprised if it had shown. We all know US shows get shafted.

Surely Toyota would show this car in the USA sooner rather than later to help dissolve the recent bad publicity it has been having.

Or wait until that blows over more and use that to ramp up it's public perception again.

The public has a short memory. They will forget this as soon as the media stops whoring it all over.

I know you mentioned that it won't be at the New York auto show, but when I get there Ill attempt to snoop around the Toyota and Subaru displays and quiz the employees. Should be fun...plenty of pictures too.

Spy versus Spy idea here, at the next show we need to distract security while someone slides a video camera on a long pole, under the car so we can get a look at all the bits under her 'skirts', so to speak...

Lol its funny you mention that. When the nissan ultima hybrid first showe itself in the NY auto show back in 2005 I said to myself the engine is probably fake, that's why the hood was closed. So Mr. snoop around (that's me) accidentally popped open the hood and accidentally stuck my head in the engine bay. It was real! Then the nissan associate asked what are you doing? I denied the allegations and walked away to the friendly Toyota booth.

Now this is the sort of car enthusiasm that I strongly encourage - well done!
