a subaru possibility, but most likely just a dream:)
as an svx owner/enthusiast, and my other favorite manufacturer being toyota, this is big news to me!
i just thought to myself, itd be pretty cool if the subaru version was released as a modern svx, with awd, a nice well powered na motor (but unlikely another h6) to replace the ill-fated origional svx/alcyone. what are peoples thoughts on this? a joke? a possibility? |

Plus SVX does fit with the WRX nomenclature. |

you lost me, bad enough to use the name? im lost.
i think it was the price and auto only that did it in. pretty sad. mine was 36k i think, may have been 34k in 1994 when it was sold. pretty steep for a car back then. |

Yeah, that wasn't a very goo explanation was it? lol.
What I meant was that most people really won't remember the name or car as something bad or unsuccessful from Subaru. Most people just don't remember it at all. Like say if Ford came came out with a new Pinto, there might be a bad enough taste in people's mouth to not buy it just off the name alone. I don't think the same would happen with the SVX name, so I would think they could use it safely. I still remember when that car came out and the first time I seen it at the auto show. The windows just blew my mind. I can actually remember looking at that car specifically. That was probably 91 or so. I think that was the first year. |
