Track days are the goods. Not sure where you are at but there are events to be had within easy drive of most places in America and Europe. I am blessed to be rather close to Mid Ohio and can get two days with Porsche club for just shy of $300 which may seem a bit spendy until you consider that it comes with a good bit of insight and instruction from SCCA and Club racers who ride along and offer insight until you are found to be safe, sane and ready to solo. Even after you are cut loose its great to get other folks in your car to offer thoughts on lines and technique as you always have something new to learn.
Best of all... the things you learn stay with you in every car you ever drive. As such its a better investment than any gizmo, hot part or bit made of unobtanium that you can ever add to a car.

Well said, I wish more poeple would spend money and time behind the wheel instead of spedning it on the next mod that will surely make them the most awesome driver in the world. lol.
